DENVER — Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today appointed Zachary Martin to the Ouray County Court in the 7th Judicial District. He fills a vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Cory Jackson to the District Court.

Martin currently serves as a Senior Deputy Public Defender in the Montrose Office of the Colorado State Public Defender (2013 – present). His practice consists of representing adults and juveniles charged with misdemeanor and felony crimes in Montrose County Court and District Court. Martin also has practiced in the Gunnison, Hinsdale, and Ouray County Courts. Martin earned his undergraduate degree from Goucher College in 2010 and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2013.

Martin’s appointment is effective immediately.
