Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered in honor of Specialist Gabriel Conde

DENVER — Thursday, May 10, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, May 12, 2018, in honor of Specialist Gabriel Conde.

Conde, 22, died in the line of duty on April 30, 2018, of injuries sustained from small arms fire while serving in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Kapisa Province, Afghanistan.

Conde was assigned to A Company, 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Alaska, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Lifebridge Christian Church in Longmont at 1:00 p.m.

Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered to honor the late Billy Graham

DENVER — Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags lowered to half-staff on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on Friday, March 2, to honor the interment of the late Billy Graham, and as proclaimed by President Donald Trump.

Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered in honor of El Paso County Deputy Micah Flick

DENVER — Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper tonight ordered flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings tomorrow at sunrise until sunset on the day of the funeral to honor El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputy Micah Flick.

Flick, 34, was killed while responding to a motor vehicle theft. Two other deputies, a Colorado Springs police officer and a civilian were injured in the shooting. Flick served the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife and 7-year-old twins.

Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered in honor of Adams County Deputy Heath Gumm

DENVER — Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings immediately until sunset on the day of the funeral to honor Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy Heath Gumm.

Gumm, 32, was shot in the line of duty yesterday. He died from injuries sustained while responding to a disturbance call in Adams County. Gumm has been with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office since 2013.

He is survived by his wife and family.

Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered in honor of Sergeant First Class Mihail Golin

DENVER — Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, in honor of Sergeant First Class Mihail Golin.

Golin, 34, died in the line of duty on Jan. 1, 2018, of injuries sustained from small arms fire while on dismounted patrol in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan.

Golin was assigned to B Company, 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs.

He is survived by his parents and daughter.
