DENVER — Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced Boards and Commissions appointments to the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education, State Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Council, Hospital Provider Fee Oversight and Advisory Board, Statewide Independent Living Council, Colorado Juvenile Parole Board, Board of Trustees for Colorado Mesa University, Board of Trustees of the University of Northern Colorado, Utilities Consumer Council, Colorado Wildlife Habitat Stamp Committee.

DENVER — Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced Boards and Commissions appointments to the Justice Assistance Grant Board, Colorado Scenic and Historic Byways Commission and Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board.

The Justice Assistance Grant Board advises the Division of Criminal Justice on issues related to federal block grant monies designated to improve the criminal justice system and reduce drug abuse and violent crimes.

For a term expiring July 31, 2019:

Chief of Police Paul Douglas Shultz of Canon City, and occasioned by the resignation of Police Commander David A. Moore of Longmont, appointed.
The Colorado Scenic and Historic Byways Commission works with state agencies, the U.S. Forest Services, Bureau of Land Management, local byways organizations, as well as public and private resources, to assist in the development of byways management plans, including interpretation, promotion and protection of distinctive byways characteristics. They also help coordinate the budgeting process and allocation of federal, state, and private funds for the purpose of byway improvement.

For a term expiring January 1, 2019:

Daniel Cressy of Golden, to serve as a representative of the U.S. Forest Service, and occasioned by the resignation of Christopher F. Sporl of Littleton, appointed.
The Workers’ Compensation Cost Containment Board promotes cost containment and risk management programs in the administration of workers’ compensation programs.

For terms expiring December 13, 2019:

Edward Dean Davis of Centennial, representing employers with good risk management experience with respect to their workers’ compensation insurance, and as a Democrat, reappointed;
Sarah Hayes of Lafayette, representing executives with good risk management experience in the insurance industry, and as Democrat, reappointed.

DENVER — Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced Boards and Commissions appointments to the Colorado Commission on Low Income Energy Assistance.

The Colorado Commission on Low Income Energy Assistance works through the Low Income Energy Assistance Program to collect and distribute money to eligible recipients for use in the payment of electric and gas utility bills.

The Water Resources and Power Development Authority finances, develops, constructs and maintains water projects in Colorado and administers the Drinking Water and Water Pollution Control Revolving Funds.

The Child Support Commission reviews the child support guidelines and issues a report every four years to the Governor and General Assembly about the results of the review and any recommended statutory changes.

The Chemical Demilitarization Citizens Advisory Commission provides citizen input and expresses state concerns regarding the U.S. Army program for the disposal of chemical warfare agents and munitions at the Pueblo Army Depot.

The Cold Case Oversight Task Force created a database that houses information related to each homicide investigation that is open in a Colorado jurisdiction dating back to 1970 and is at least three years old.

DENVER — Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced Boards and Commissions appointments to the Colorado New Energy Improvement District Board and Towing Task Force.

The Colorado New Energy Improvement District Board enables and encourages the owners of eligible properties to invest in new energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements. The Board authorizes the district to establish, develop, finance, implement and administer a new energy improvement program, that includes energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements, to assist any such owners who choose to join the district in completing energy improvements to their property.
