Gov. Hickenlooper announces Boards and Commissions appointment

DENVER — Friday, April 22, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced today a Boards and Commissions appointment to the Fifth Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commission.

The Fifth Judicial District Judicial Nominating Commission select nominees for district and county judgeships in the fifth judicial district, which is comprised of Clear Creek, Eagle, Lake and Summit counties.

For a term expiring December 31, 2021:

Michael H. Stewart, P.E., C.P.G. of Evergreen, to serve as a non-attorney and as an Unaffiliated from Clear Creek County, appointed.

DENVER — Monday, April 11, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced a Boards and Commissions appointment to the State Rehabilitation Council.

The State Rehabilitation Council advises State Rehabilitation Services on the provision of appropriate and quality services to its customers. A majority of its members must be persons with disabilities.

For a term expiring August 1, 2017:

Bobbie Rosa of Ignacio, to serve as a representative of Native Americans and Section 121, appointed.

DENVER — Friday, April 8, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced several Boards and Commissions appointments to the Advisory Committee on Licensing of Child Care Facilities, Colorado Commission on the Aging and Colorado Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities.

The Advisory Committee on Licensing of Child Care Facilities counsels the Department of Human Services on the licensing of child care facilities, including day care centers, family care homes, residential child care facilities and camps.

DENVER — Thursday, April 7, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced several Boards and Commissions appointments to the Caring for Colorado Foundation Board of Directors and State Board of Registered Psychotherapists.

The Caring for Colorado Foundation Board of Directors was endowed in 1999 with the proceeds of the sale of Blue-Cross Blue-Shield of Colorado to Anthem Inc. Its mission is to promote and serve the health care needs of the people of Colorado. To do so, the Foundation makes grants in communities throughout the state to increase access to direct health services, to implement prevention programs, to share health information and to improve the health care infrastructure.

DENVER — Wednesday, March 30, 2016 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced a Boards and Commissions appointment to the Real Estate Commission.

The Real Estate Commission conducts rulemaking hearings, makes policy decisions, considers licensing matters, reviews complaints and takes disciplinary action relating to real estate brokers.

Richard H. Krohn of Grand Junction, who has expertise in subdivision development, reappointed.
