DENVER — Wednesday, July 12, 2017 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced Erin Lynn Sokol’s appointment to the District Court in the 4th Judicial District.
Sokol will fill a vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Gilbert A. Martinez.
Sokol is currently a senior attorney at Hogan Lovells US, LLP in Colorado Springs, a position she has held since August 2014. Previously, she was a partner at Sokol & Brewer in Colorado Springs (2007-2014); an associate at Mulliken Weiner Karsh Berg & Jolivet, P.C. in Colorado Springs (2004-2007); an associate at Hogan & Hartson LLP in Colorado Springs (2000-2004); and an associate at Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C. (1999-2000). Sokol earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1996 and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1999.
Sokol’s appointment is effective Aug. 1, 2017.
