PUEBLO — Saturday, July 26, 2014 —  Lt. Governor Joe Garcia will be in Pueblo working alongside the Boys and Girls club to collect school supplies for children in need in honor of the annual Colorado Cares Day of Service.

Serve Colorado, the Governor’s Commission on Community Service, has dedicated the Saturday prior to the anniversary of Colorado Statehood as the annual Colorado Cares Day of Service, a day to celebrate Colorado’s spirit of giving, service and caring by engaging residents in community service projects.

Lt. Governor Garcia will be spending the day in Pueblo with the Boys and Girls Club showing how important community involvement is to academic success.

The public is invited to participate by bringing new backpacks and school supplies to the Boys and Girls Club of Pueblo.
