WHAT:  The Diversified Innovation Products (DIP) Tour

These two Delta County businesses received Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Program grants to help with facility expansions celebrated their new success and employment opportunities. The REDI Program helps eligible rural communities develop plans and undertake projects to create jobs, drive capital investment, and increase wages to help grow and create resiliency and diversity in the local economy.

 

RIDGWAY:

WHAT:  The Bennett Forgeworks Tour

Bennett Forgeworks is a manufacturing facility for mash tuns and other brewing equipment which emerged from an innovative collaboration between a local metal worker and a brewer. The company now ships internationally.

Billings Artworks is a Colorado company with celebrity ties -- the Grammy awards are crafted and manufactured by Billings Artworks.

 

TELLURIDE:

WHAT:  The American Academy of Bookbinding Tour

WHEN:  3:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014

WHERE: 117 N. Willow St., Uncompahgre National Forest, Telluride

The American Academy of Bookbinding conducts intensive courses in the fine art of leather binding, book restoration, repair and preservation practices as well as related subjects, and is part of Telluride’s designated Colorado Creative Districts.
