DENVER — Thursday, July 6, 2017 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced Boards and Commissions appointments to the State Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners and Peace Officers Standards and Training Board.
The State Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners adopts rules and regulations, conducts examinations and grants or denies licenses.
For a term expiring August 31, 2018:
Mary Coleman of Colorado Springs, to serve as a member of the public at large, and occasioned by the resignation of Amy Blackwell of Castle Rock, appointed;
For a term expiring August 31, 2020:
- Emily Schrader, MA, LPC, CACIII of Lakewood, to serve as a licensed professional counselor, and occasioned by the resignation of Carrie Crandall, MA, LPC of Colorado Springs, appointed.
The Peace Officers Standards and Training Board oversees the certification of training programs, training academies and instructors of police officer candidates. The Board also certifies qualified peace officers.
For terms to expire June 30, 2020:
- Chad Day of Yuma, to serve as a county sheriff, reappointed;
- Debra Kay Funston of Palisade, to serve as a police chief, appointed;
- Michael John Phibbs of Castle Rock, to serve as a police chief, reappointed.
