DENVER —Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 — Governor John Hickenlooper joins Major General Michael Edwards, adjutant general and executive director of the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), business leaders and elected officials tomorrow in Colorado Springs to announce the vendor selection for a statewide study that will provide a comprehensive analysis of the military value of Colorado.

The study is part of Senate Bill 14-157, which was created in response to the national changes to the defense and military industry, including the restructuring of the defense budget. The study will analyze the role the military plays in Colorado and the capacity within the state for further support of our nation’s defense. SB 14-157 was sponsored by Senators Carroll and Cadman and Representatives Ryden and Nordberg.
