DENVER — Monday, Nov. 20, 2017 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced today Michael Lewis will be the next Executive Director for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). He will assume this role in December.

Lewis most recently served as the Deputy Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer for CDOT where he provided policy, technical, organizational and operational direction for the $1.4 billion organization with 3,000 employees. He also served as Director of Rhode Island Department of Transportation, is a former President of the American Association of State Highways and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) and is a member of the National Academy of Construction (NAC).
