DENVER — Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced that Al White, senior advisor to the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and former executive director of the Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) will leave his position effective September 30, 2015. White has served in the role since 2011.

John Hickenlooper today announced several Boards and Commissions appointments to the Child Protection Ombudsman Board, Arkansas River Compact Administration, Transportation Commission, Colorado Commission on the Aging, Securities Board, and Peace Officers Standards and Training Board.
DENVER — Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015 — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced today proposed standards to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG), notably methane, and volatile organic compounds (VOC) from the oil and natural gas operations.

John Hickenlooper today announced the appointment of Barbara Zollars as Rio Grande County Court judge in the 12th Judicial District (Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Mineral, Rio Grande and Saguache Counties). She will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of the Honorable Patrick H. Hayes, Jr. to the District Court bench in the 12th Judicial District.
Gov. Hickenlooper and cabinet members will be visiting communities throughout the state to engage in discussions on important issues to residents, communities and the state including the state budget, workforce and economic development, energy and environment, health and infrastructure.

DENVER — Monday, Aug. 10, 2015 — Gov. John Hickenlooper and members of cabinet, with Durango Mayor Dean Brookie and local officials, will provide state briefings tomorrow morning in Durango to communities and businesses impacted by the Gold King Mine release.
DENVER — Monday, Aug. 10, 2015 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today issued an Executive Order that declares a state of disaster emergency due to the Gold King Mine release and resulting impacts to downstream waters. The order allocates $500,000 from the state’s Disaster Emergency Fund to pay for the response and technical assessments.
