Gov. Hickenlooper announces Boards and Commissions appointments

DENVER — Friday, May 11, 2018 — Gov. Hickenlooper today announced Boards and Commissions appointments to the Governor’s Expert Emergency Epidemic Response Committee, Interbasin Compact Committee, Colorado Medical Board, State Board of Optometry, State Board of Pharmacy, State Board of Psychologist Examiners, Stroke Advisory Board and Venture Capital Authority.

Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered in honor of Specialist Gabriel Conde

DENVER — Thursday, May 10, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, May 12, 2018, in honor of Specialist Gabriel Conde.

Conde, 22, died in the line of duty on April 30, 2018, of injuries sustained from small arms fire while serving in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Kapisa Province, Afghanistan.

Colorado joins lawsuit to block Trump Administration from demanding citizenship information in 2020 Census

DENVER — Tuesday, May 1, 2018 — The State of Colorado is now part of a bipartisan coalition of 18 states plus the District of Columbia, nine cities, four counties, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The coalition has filed an amended lawsuit to block the Trump Administration from demanding citizenship information in the 2020 decennial Census, adding new co-plaintiffs and bolstering the arguments in their complaint.
