John Hickenlooper issued the following statement after the announcement by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) that it has issued a “non-warranted decision” in regard to a potential listing of the Greater Sage-Grouse under the Endangered Species Act:
DENVER — Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 — The Office of Gov. John Hickenlooper is accepting applications for the position of District Attorney in the 21st Judicial District, which includes Mesa County. A vacancy in this office is due to the resignation of District Attorney Pete Hautzinger, which will become effective on or before October 31, 2015.
DENVER — Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 — The Governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) released its quarterly economic forecast today. This is the last revenue projection before Gov. Hickenlooper releases the FY 2016-17 budget request on Nov. 2, 2015.

Hickenlooper, in partnership with conservation groups, industry representatives, and agriculture leaders, today requested recognition by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Land Management to establish the Colorado Habitat Exchange – initially focused on the greater sage-grouse.
