Leadville’s Tabor Opera House Chosen for National Campaign
With $150,000 for historic preservation on the line, every vote for one of Colorado’s historic sites - from now until October 26th - counts!
Leadville's Tabor Opera House is one of 20 historic sites in the nation selected for the 2018 Partners in Preservation: Main Streets national campaign. Winners, who are determined by popular vote, will receive $150,000 for site rehabilitation. Members of the public are allotted one vote per day, per person to be used on any historic site in the competition until the end of the campaign.
Built in 1879, during an era of tremendous migration and immigration, the Tabor Opera House stands today as a reminder of Leadville’s diverse past. This project will rehabilitate two of the opera house’s facades, helping it to serve as a mixed-use cultural center for locals and tourists alike.
Remember you can vote once per day, everyday. Vote for Leadville's Tabor House now!
