The second annual Colorado Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association (CFVGA) Conference will be held February 17, 2016, at the Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel.

The speaker lineup includes staff from the Colorado Department of Agriculture:

  • Commissioner of Agriculture Don Brown addresses attendees early in the day and will be speaking about the success of the CFVGA and its value to the Colorado agricultural community.

  • Tom Lipetzky, CDA’s Markets division director, will be providing an update on the Markets programs with a focus on food safety audits.

The CFVGA membership will elect new board members and vote on other items of business. Registration and additional information is available at http://cfvga.org.

The CFVGA is comprised of more than 150 members, including growers of all sizes and types of production throughout the state, as well as representatives of allied industries. The Colorado fruit and vegetable growing sector contributes nearly $300 million to Colorado at the farm gate and is multiplied as it goes through the distribution chain. Over 60,000 Colorado acres are in fruit and vegetable production. For more on the CFVGA, visit http://coloradoproduce.org.
